what's your favorite web resource

So I am posing this as incentive for people to post links to sites that they have found helpful for tutorials, jobs, design information, really anything that you have found that has helped you be a better designer. I want to eventually post all of the links on the Ad Club website and my own website as a constantly evolving resource list.

I have 1 site that I love because they do a website of the week (usually they are really inspirational sites for really good design) and they have all the basics for dimensions, folds, and they have free templates for some stuff like standard size folders.

I found that website really interesting and helpful, thanks for sharing it with us, Sarah.

A website that I find helpful and inspiring is www.thedieline.com
It only features outstanding package design but I think it is a great place to get a lot of ideas and see totally different things. It helps me to open my mind.

I have found the website Stock.Xchng, www.sxc.hu really helpful. It is a free stock photography site (they do sell imagery too, but there is so much free), kind of like Flickr but they encourage others to use it and the files are very easy to download. I would highly recommend it.

As for inspiration, I take a daily look at BeautifulDecay.com, the online home of my favorite art/culture magazine. Juxtapoz.com is a good one, too... they feature a lot of emerging graphic, advertising and fine artists monthly.

www.adhemas.com
I was just recently introduced to this website, I've spent hours looking at it and still haven't seen it all. Adhemas Batista is a Brazilian digital illustrator who does amazing work mixing photos and vector art. His website has tons of his work samples, many are international print ads. It is a great place to go for inspiration when you are feeling stuck in a rut.

I have been recently introduced to this website called misprintedtype.com. This site has a large variety of interesting, gitty fonts. I think it is better than dafonts.com because most of their fonts require permission to use them or don't print well.

This is in response to Preston. I found that site to be a great resource as well. I think it's also better than dafont.

Another site I found useful was veer.com. It's a great site that images, illustrations and fonts. It's similar to corbis and getty but they also have fonts as well.

I absolutely LOVE www.smashingmagazine.com, it gets a 5 out of 5 stars in my book.
I was on it all day on saturday and i'm still not tired of it. fabulous tips on how to build websites too, for those of you still confused as to what to have for that.

They have EXCELLENT resources in everything from articles on how to design websites to tutorials to free downloadable stuff!!!

commenting on mister La'p's post, I completely agree on the stockXchng website. i've known about it for quite some time and it's saved me from disaster when getty and corbis can't provide anything, and it's pretty awesome that it's free. definitely check it out.

http://www.dynamicgraphics.com is an online and print magazine. There are tons of archived tips, tutorials and articles which are helpful to look through when you know your design needs "something" but can't quite figure out what. The examples and suggestions (and step by step directions!) spark new solutions.

http://www.layersmagazine.com has taught me so much. You can expand your knowledge of Adobe software including After Effects, which I have learned a lot about from this site.

although alot of people like other resources than www.dafont.com, I have never been let down by the choices ive made for projects from the site, they seem to always have something close to the exact look and feel i need in a good font, so this is why i recommend the site.
