Begin to think about who you are as a person and what makes you, you. Tell me something I don't know about you that you would feel comfortable mentioning in an interview. What is important that you get across to the person you will someday be interviewing with?

What makes me, me, are the experiences that I have endured during the travels of my life and living in different countries. It gives me an edge by having the "outside looking in" perspective. I would be very comfortable talking about my life in Honduras and Venezuela with an interviewer as well as my experiences in the United States. Having traveled from coast to coast by car isn't something your average person can say they've done.
What's important to get across to the person that's interviewing me is that I have a multi-dimensional perspective life and i'm not afraid of trying new things, especially when it comes to design.
What makes me an original is my commitment to trying to be the best person I can be. I acknowledge my strengths and my weaknesses equally. I try to work through any challenges that arrive with a positive mind. I am an outgoing person; I try to be helpful and considerate. I would want the person that is interviewing me to know that I am a team player. One who is driven and has an intense work ethic and a zest for life.
Specific Keys
1.) I never do work half-fast
2.) I am self-motivated
3.) I already have an associate degree in Graphic Design
4.) I find inspiration through other cultures and creative people
5.) I enjoy staying informed about the world around me which leads to more creative development and self-discovery.
When I tell people I have a degree in sociology and communications, people usually comment on how different my two fields of study are. As I've learned more about design I've also learned to closely the two fields are related in terms of what makes a design an effective method of communication...which makes me feel better about funding seven years of college!
I also enjoy "building" (or more like compiling) things whether it be a meal, a cut and paste collage, jewelry etc...
I think what makes me who I am is my ability to be very aware of my surroundings.....I'm a bit of an over thinker. My life experiences thus far have kept me on my toes, waiting for the next "surprise", in turn I am very calm and observant.
As far as something you may not know about me.....I love to draw, I'm no Leonardo, but not to shabby.
Once I got my tongue stuck to a basketball hoop. Yup..
